The technology saves producers time and money by monitoring water sources from anywhere.

Ranchbot Monitoring Solutions, founded and proven in Australia, is launching their remote water monitoring technology for livestock producers into the U.S. market.

The innovative water monitoring solution eases strain on livestock producers by allowing them to check their water conditions from anywhere, saving critical resources on the farm – time, labor and fuel. With Ranchbot, water levels can be observed via phone or tablet through a satellite connection, alerting producers when water levels are low, high or rapidly falling.

In many regions of the U.S., producers have faced challenges in accessing water for livestock due to lack of water availability or drought. At the end of 2022, 50% of the lower 48 states in the U.S. were in a drought, creating critical issues for livestock producers who require 10-20 gallons of water per head of livestock per day. Ranchbot’s real-time connectivity to water tank conditions helps safeguard livestock water sources and notifies producers when issues arise.

“We founded Ranchbot with the producer in mind,” said Andrew Coppin, Ranchbot founder and CEO. “Every ranchers’s first thought of the day is about water or the weather. Ranchbot provides livestock producers with the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to water management, taking one of the most labor-, fuel- and time-consuming tasks on a ranch from a manual job to a quick, automatic process.”

More than 150 ranches in key states impacted by drought and water challenges have already successfully implemented the low-cost technology. Livestock producers say Ranchbot is efficient, simple to use, and saves their operation time and money daily.

“Ranchbot is one of the best tools we have ever acquired,” said Charles Schnyder, rancher in Hollister, California. “It has saved us countless man-hours, electricity bills and water. The ability to see how much water is in your tank at any time of the day, and receive alerts when there is a leak, has been amazing.”

On the Ranchbot website, the company hosts a savings calculator to help livestock producers evaluate how much it costs to manually check water sources on the operation and understand the value of Ranchbot technology.

Ranchbot technology, manufactured in the U.S., mounts to water sources like tanks, wells and dams, and data is transmitted to the MyRanchbot platform via satellite connection. For as little as $1 per day, the user-friendly dashboard provides users with water level data, trends and alerts of potential issues.

“We are thrilled to bring our innovative water monitoring technology to livestock producers in the U.S.,” said Coppin. “If you are spending countless hours a year checking water sources or stressing over the potentially devastating impact of a burst pipe or dry water tank, I encourage you to stop by and visit with our team at the NCBA Tradeshow to discuss how Ranchbot can be integrated on your operation.”
