Join us for an exciting Innovation in Action tour of the UC Davis animal agriculture facilities, showcasing cutting-edge research in methane reduction and the excellence of their Animal Science program. During the tour, you will have the chance to explore the UC Davis Beef Barn and visit the Robert Mondavi Institute.
Guided by UC Davis faculty experts, this tour is a fantastic opportunity to get up close with the latest innovations in agriculture, connect with industry peers, and gather insights to further your own professional objectives.

It’s important to note that biosecurity measures are in place for the safety of the UC Davis facilities. International visitors from outside the continental United States will be subject to a 7-day residency requirement in the U.S. before they can access the animal facilities. For those who have recently travelled from overseas and do not meet this eligibility criterion, alternative arrangements will be made within the site visit to ensure they still have a valuable experience.
Tour Itinerary
Frank Mitloehner, Professor at UC Davis will give an overview of the facilities during the journey. A lunch box will be provided.
- Take a walking tour of the bovine bubbles and greenfeed machines. Students will deliver interactive lightning talks around the Beef Barn.
- Attendees who do not meet the 7-day criteria will have to stay in the parking lot. They will still be able to see the Beef Barn Facility, but won’t be able to walk through.
- Lightning talks around Milk Processing Lab Facilities.
