Steve Boren
Steve Boren leads the livestock businesses for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc., headquartered in Duluth, Georgia. He oversees the commercial operations and professional-services veterinary teams in the company’s Poultry, Swine and Cattle businesses as well as its Veterinary Public Health. Prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2011, Steve was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the farm animal business at Novartis Animal Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has extensive experience in Animal Health and the livestock industry across the major animal-protein production segments.
His experience spans three continents: North America, Asia and Europe. He worked in the developing markets of Southeast Asia while based in Bangkok, Thailand and experienced the revitalization of animal agriculture in Central and Eastern Europe and parts of the former Soviet Union as those regions strived to become more self-reliant. Helping develop safe and secure food supplies has been a long-term passion for Steve. He takes great pride in delivering results, innovation and putting science to work commercially.
Steve is a native of California and graduate of California State University, Fresno, Oklahoma State University and the University of California. He operates a small, no-tillage rotational soybean and corn farm in NW Missouri and feeds a limited number of cattle each year in Nebraska and Kansas which helps him stay connected to the challenges and rewards that today’s producers face.
