Stefan Scherer, a Graz/Austria-based founder and investor, holds a Master's in Physics and a PhD in Computer Science, both from Graz University of Technology. He founded and scaled a tech startup globally, leading subsidiaries in multiple countries. After its strategic sale, he invested in tech scale-ups. Joining smaXtec in 2020 as CEO, he initiated a global expansion program, establishing and scaling subsidiaries in the US, DE, NZ, IE and UK. His expertise drives the expansion of smaXtec, accelerating innovation within agricultural technology. In 2025 he transitioned to the smaXtec Board as a Non-Executive Director. In this new role, he continues to contribute strategically to smaXtec’s long-term growth and innovation roadmap.
