Blake Foraker
Dr. Blake Foraker is an assistant professor in meat science at Texas Tech University. He holds a B.S. in animal science from Kansas State, M.S. in meat science from Colorado State, and Ph.D. in meat science from Texas Tech. He spent 2 years on faculty at Washington State University before returning to Texas Tech, where he serves as the coach of the meat judging and meat animal evaluation teams. His research expertise pertains to meat animal growth, carcass composition, and eating quality. He has extensively studied the growth, carcass yield, and meat quality of beef x dairy crossbreds as well as innovative methods of carcass yield determination.
